This style of mixing known melodies and dance floor rhthmys dates back to the times I was co-mixing Wednesday and Thursdays at THE ADIOMO (Bad Oeynhausen, main floor) roughly in the very eary years with DJs Michael and Dennis. It became a household name for good music .
The younger than me DJs did´t know the originals and I said PLAY IT:
