Yeah, that's Claude Vamour with Très Dignon. Now we're gonna play something kind of unusual because the man who's performing is well his name was King Benny Nawahi, comes from uh Honolulu, and he was actually born in 1899, and by 1919 he was playing steel guitar, ukulele and mandolin with his brother on a on a ship that used to go from Honolulu to San Francisco. And King Benny was kind of the hottest thing in Hawaii, but then in 1935, when he was driving home from a performance, he suddenly lost his sight. He couldn't see anything, and the doctors were never able to explain why, and he remained blind for the rest of his life. However, he still carried on playing. Sadly died in the late 1970s. This is a song of him performing called the Maui Nolaka Oi, and it was often known um as the Hawaiian Patrol or the Maui Child. So Maui Wowie, take it away. And now, what are we gonna play?
